Called in shots fired (roughly 12 shots, medium caliber) around 10:30 at night in city limits. Took 30 minutes for the only two deputies on duty in Tyler County to respond. They went to the residence for the third time to talk with the thug. He didn't come out of his trailer, so they said there is nothing they can do. This is beyond unacceptable law enforcement practice. My family no longer feels safe in Tyler County, beings it's okay to shoot off firearms in city limits. The second time this thug shot, it ricochet and hit a tree near my porch. I know this because I was on the porch, heard the ricochet and heard it hit the tree next to me. If you want to live like an outlaw, move to Tyler County. We are moving.
If a drunk shows up on your property and tries to bust down your door at 3 a.m, just shoot and call these idiots after. Dispatch is rude and sarcastic and stupid.
